Alchemy Hair Lab is the by-appointment color studio Hannah Nold opened on E Wellesley in 2020 and outgrew within two years — a near-north-side room of independent stylists who mostly run their own books out of the same calm, light space. The work skews toward lived-in color, blonding, balayage and vivids, with extensions when you want length, finished on Surface, Back of Bottle and Jolie. There's no front-desk bustle here: you text to book, you come for your appointment, you leave with the color you actually asked for. Bring a reference — the consultation is where the plan gets made.
