Highlights Salon & Spa has been an Emerson-Garfield fixture since 1999, owners Janet (an esthetician) and Dan running a full salon-and-spa on N Washington with a team of eight hairstylists. Color is in the name and the work — partial and full highlights, ombre, balayage, and foilage — alongside precision cuts, keratin and Brazilian Blowout smoothing, and a deep extensions menu (tape-in, hand-tied, I-tip, and Hair Dreams toppers). The spa side adds facials, waxing, and dermaplaning. They carry Osmosis and Hair Dreams, and each stylist books directly by phone.
