Plans & billing
4 min read
Your membership here is a flat monthly plan — never a percentage of your bookings. This guide shows what each plan includes and how to upgrade, change your card, or cancel, all from your phone in a few minutes.
The four plans
Every plan and price lives on For Stylists. As shown there:
- Free — $0. Your listed profile, gallery, menu, and reviews.
- Plus — $12/mo. Native booking at 0% commission, with no-show protection.
- Pro — $29/mo, tagged Most popular. Everything in Plus, plus analytics, a Journal write-up, and the Verified Pro badge.
- Salon — $79/mo. The whole floor — every chair, one bill, one dashboard.
Paid plans carry a Founding rate — first 90 days free. No card is needed to start the trial, and if you never add one, it simply ends — no surprise charge.
One thing never changes: when a client pays you through the site, the money goes straight to you through your own Stripe account. You pay Stripe's standard processing rate, and we take 0% — see Set up payments (Stripe).
Before you start
- You need a claimed profile — billing only shows profiles claimed under the email you sign in with. Not claimed yet? Start with Claim your stylist profile.
Upgrade your plan
From your dashboard, tap Plan & billing.
Find your card under Your profile. Salons sit under Salons you manage.
Tap Upgrade to Plus or Go Pro (if you're on Plus already, it says Upgrade to Pro). Salon owners tap Upgrade to Salon, or Switch to Salon if the salon is on another paid plan.
If this is your first paid plan, a secure Stripe payment page opens. Confirm there — no card needed for the 90-day trial — and you're brought back to Plan & billing.
A green banner reads Your plan is updating — give it a moment, then refresh to see your new tier. That's normal; the badge flips shortly.
Already on a paid plan? Switching skips the payment page — the change happens in place and you'll see Plan change submitted — updating now.
Update your card, cancel, or switch
- On Plan & billing, tap Manage billing on the profile or salon's card.
- Stripe's billing page opens. It looks different because Stripe handles membership payments for Spokane Hairdressers — it's the real thing. Update your card, switch plans, or cancel there.
- The return link brings you back to Plan & billing.
Cancelling never cuts you off early. The status line changes to Ends with a date — you keep your paid features until then, and afterward the profile drops to Free. Your listing, gallery, menu, and reviews stay live either way.
Good to know
Nothing shows on Plan & billing
The page only lists profiles claimed under your sign-in email. Claim your profile first, and make sure you're signed in with the same email you claimed it with. Claim your stylist profile walks through it.
Your badge still shows the old plan after paying
The plan updates a few moments after checkout — that's why the banner says "updating," not "done." Refresh after a few seconds. If nothing changes in a couple of minutes, check your email for a Stripe receipt and tell us.
Status says "Past due — update your card to stay active"
A renewal payment didn't go through. Tap Manage billing and update the card — your paid features keep working during the grace period, and the status returns to Renews with your next bill date once the payment succeeds.
No second free trial
The founding 90 days applies to your first subscription only. If you cancel and come back later, you'll add a card and billing starts right away.
A salon manager can't change the plan
Salon billing belongs to the owner — the person who claimed the salon. Managers see Ask the salon owner to manage billing. If that's you, ask the owner — or see Claim your salon.
Every paying stylist or salon you send our way earns you a free month of your own plan — see Refer & earn free months.
