Your salon
Run your salon page
4 min read
Your salon dashboard is where you run the team side of your page: your roster, your managers, and — on the Salon plan — a floor calendar showing every shared chair's day. Each task takes a minute or two; invites take as long as the other person takes to say yes.
Before you start
- You need to own a claimed salon — see Claim your salon.
- Sign in at /dashboard with the email you claimed with, then click Manage salon under Salons you manage.
- Managers can edit the venue page and see the floor calendar; only owners can change the roster and team.
Add a stylist to your roster
- On the Venue tab, scroll to the Team section and find Add a stylist.
- Open the stylist's page on Spokane Hairdressers and copy the address from the browser bar — it looks like spokanehairdressers.com/stylists/jane-doe. Paste the whole thing into Stylist profile link.
- Click Add to roster.
What happens next depends on the stylist. If nobody runs that profile yet, they appear on your page right away — you'll see "Added to your roster." If the stylist runs their own profile, we email them first, and they sit under Invited — waiting for them to accept until they say yes. That's by design: stylists choose whether your salon shows on their profile.
To retract a pending invite, click Cancel invite on their card. To take someone off the roster, click Remove, then confirm Remove from roster — their profile stays live in the directory; you've only unlinked them from your page.
Invite someone to help manage the salon
- Under Managers, type their email into Invite by email — the exact address they use to sign in with Google.
- Click Send invite.
- Have them sign in at /dashboard with that same email and click Accept invite on the banner. Their row shows an "invited" badge until then, "active" after.
To promote an active manager, click Make owner on their row. To remove one, click Remove and confirm Remove manager.
Hand off the salon
There's no transfer button — it's two steps. Promote your successor with Make owner (they must have accepted their manager invite first), then the new owner clicks Remove on your row. The salon is theirs.
The floor calendar (Salon plan)
- Click the Floor calendar tab next to Venue.
- On the Free plan you'll see the lock — click Upgrade plan. The plan belongs to the salon, not to anyone's personal stylist membership, and only owners can change it. See Plans & billing.
- Once it's on, you get one column per stylist with the day's appointments — time, the client's first name, the service, and a status badge. Move days with ‹ Prev, Next ›, and Today.
The floor is a window, not a control panel: it's read-only, and every stylist chooses whether to share their calendar with the salon.
Good to know
A stylist I added isn't on my public page yet
They run their own profile, so they have to accept first. Ask them to sign in at spokanehairdressers.com/dashboard — the invite banner is at the top with Accept and Decline. Until then their card reads "not on your public page yet."
Can I resend an invite?
Clicking Add to roster again within 24 hours won't send another email — the message just says they've already been invited. After 24 hours, re-adding them sends a fresh one. Faster still: text the stylist — the invite is already waiting on their dashboard.
I can't find the Team section
Roster and manager controls are owner-only. If you see "You manage this salon. Owners control roster and team access," you're a manager — ask the owner to make the change, or to promote you with Make owner.
My manager says the invite never showed up
The invite is tied to the exact email you typed. If they signed in with a different Google account — work instead of personal, say — the banner never appears, with no error. Compare the email on their row under Managers with the "Signed in as" line on their dashboard; re-invite the right address if they don't match.
I'm the only owner and can't remove myself or leave
A salon always needs at least one owner, so the last owner's row just shows "Last owner" and leaving does nothing. Promote someone else with Make owner first — then you can be removed.
Every column says "booking private"
Calendars are private unless a stylist chooses to share — that default protects booth renters who run their own books. If a stylist on your roster wants their day on the floor and can't find how to share it, email mail@spokanehairdressers.com and we'll sort it out.
I can't edit an appointment from the floor
That's on purpose — the floor is a read-only view. Each stylist makes changes from their own dashboard; point them to Manage your bookings.
