Your services & pricing menu

3 min read

Your service menu is what clients actually book — every line needs a name, a price, and a time before it can be booked online. This guide shows you where the menu lives in your dashboard and how to build it; ten minutes with your price list handy is plenty.

Before you start

  • You've claimed your profile and you're signed in with that same email.
  • Have your prices and timings in mind — including the minutes you need to reset between clients.

Add your services

  1. Sign in and open your dashboard, then press Manage on your profile. If you manage just the one profile, you'll land on it automatically.
  2. In the quick links on the right, press Set up booking, then open the Services tab.
  3. In Add a service, type the Name the way you'd say it out loud — "Women's cut & style" beats an abbreviation.
  4. Enter the Price in dollars. Cents are kept exactly — 85.50 stays 85.50.
  5. Enter the Duration in minutes, then Cleanup after — the minutes you need to sweep up and reset. Booking keeps that gap clear before your next opening.
  6. Pick a Category: Haircut, Styling, Color, Treatment, Texture & Smoothing, Extensions, Natural & Protective, or Add-on. Categories group your public menu.
  7. Under Options, leave Bookable online on, then press Add service. You'll see "Service saved."

Repeat for everything you offer. To change a service later, press Edit under it, adjust, and press Save. To remove one, press Delete service and confirm — past appointments keep their details.

The page's one rule is printed right at the top: a service needs a price and a time to be bookable online. A small label next to each service tells you where it stands: green Bookable, Needs price & time, or Off if you switched it off yourself.

When the price depends on the hair

A trim and a full color correction aren't priced the same way, and plenty of services honestly depend on what's sitting in the chair. Three ways to handle it:

  • Split the service into real versions. "Partial balayage" and "Full balayage" as separate lines, each with its own price and time, beats one line with a price that's only sometimes true.
  • Mark consult-first work. In Options, switch on Consultation required first for services you only quote after seeing the hair — color correction, extensions, big transformations.
  • Keep it on the menu without online booking. Switch Bookable online off and the service still shows on your public menu — clients just can't book it at a set price online.

Your profile also carries a general Price range ($–$$$$) so clients get the ballpark before they ever open your menu — that lives in the profile editor, covered in Edit your profile.

Where your menu shows up

Your menu appears on your public profile in its own Services section, grouped by category. Services with the green Bookable label also appear on your booking page with their price and time, ready to book. Every save goes live right away — see What your clients see for the client's side.

Good to know

The label says "Needs price & time"

Bookable online being on isn't enough by itself. The service also needs a price above zero and a duration in minutes — add both and the label flips to Bookable on its own.

Your menu is done but clients still can't book you

The menu is one of four pieces. Going live also takes weekly hours, booking switched on (Plus plan or higher), and payments connected — Turn on online booking walks the whole sequence. Payments run through your own Stripe account: money goes straight to you, you pay Stripe's standard processing rate, and Spokane Hairdressers takes 0% of bookings — see Set up payments.

Quick answers

Do I have to list an exact price for every service?
Only for services you want bookable online — each needs a price and a time. For work you quote after seeing the hair, switch on Consultation required first, or switch Bookable online off so the service shows on your menu without a set online price.
What does the Cleanup after field do?
It is the minutes you need to sweep up and reset after that service. Online booking keeps that gap clear before offering your next opening, so you are never booked back-to-back with no breather.
If I delete a service, what happens to appointments already booked with it?
Nothing is lost. Past bookings keep their details — deleting a service only removes it from your menu going forward.
Can clients see my menu before I turn on online booking?
Yes. Your services show on your public profile in their own Services section as soon as you add them. The book-online part only switches on once booking is fully set up.
